Woven approximately 120 years ago, this beautiful antique Chinese Pao Tao carpet has a wonderful use of colour and space. Pao tao (Baotou) carpets are generally small in size and are woven with landscapes and symbolic motifs in various nuances of blue as the predominant colour. They are softer to the touch than new carpets and are characterised by the deep colours that time has given them.
