1900年頃、カムセ族 (ハムセ）のアンティーク部族ラグ。
サイズ 230 x 160 cm
ペルシャ南西部、ファールス州。
パイル織り、ウール、縦糸ウール。
 
中央の3つの菱形のメダリオンは星と花、伝統的な縞模様の輪郭線で囲まれており、フィールドは花と星、鳥や動物の姿で埋め尽くされています。外縁の蔓と花はアラブのカムセー族にちなんでおります。
 
19世紀のペルシャのカムセー絨毯（Khamseh / Hamseh）は遊牧民のカシュガイ族の織物と共通点が多く、その深い色彩と複雑で様式化された古代のモチーフや動物の使用で、部族の絨毯コレクターに高く評価されています。カムセ族は19世紀の南ペルシャの部族連合で、その絨毯のスタイルと地理的起源はカシュカイ族やアフシャール族の伝統と結びついています。ファールス地方の他の遊牧民の織物と同様、装飾は変化に富み、天然染料の色合いと上質なウールの使用により、より引き立てられています。カムセ族の伝統的な色調は、深い中間色から濃い青と錆色です。
 
120年以上前のものにしては状態は良く、ところどころパイルが低く、使用感がありますが、普段使いのカーペットとしてお使いいただけると思います。

The three central diamond medallions are filled with stars and flowers and surrounded by traditional striped outlines. The field is filled with flowers and stars as well as bird and animal figures. The vines and flowers in the outer border are associated with the Arab Khamseh people.
 
Nineteenth-century Persian Khamseh carpets (Khamseh / Hamseh) have much in common with nomadic Qashqai textiles and are highly valued by tribal carpet collectors for their deep colours and complex, stylised use of ancient motifs and animals. The Khamseh were a 19th century South Persian tribal confederation whose carpet style and geographical origins are linked to the Qashqai and Afshar traditions. As with other nomadic textiles from the Fars region, the decoration is varied and enhanced by the use of natural dye shades and fine wool. The traditional colour palette of the Khamseh tribes is characterised by deep neutral dark blue and rust colours.
 
In good condition for it’s age of over 120 years, with  low pile in places and signs of use, but can still be used as an everyday carpet.
