 ペルシャ北西部で生産されるセンネラグは、その繊細なデザインと独特の織り方で珍重されています。この洗練されたセネラグは、Heratiパターンを取り入れた細かいメダリオンデザインで、中央には花、つる、Boteh（長寿と豊穣を象徴する）が描かれています。1880年頃に手織りされたこのラグは、赤、白、青、黄色、茶色などの天然染料を使用していますが、繊細で落ち着きがあり、調和が取れています。美しいデザインと調和のとれた色彩に加え、このラグを際立たせているのは織り方です。セネのラグは常に、織りの精密さに対応した、鮮明で幾何学的な要素を持っています。
 
その素晴らしい色使いとデザイン、そしてウールと天然染料の優れた品質により、アンティークセンネラグはペルシャの王室御用達メーカー以外では最高級のものとなっています。セネは、商業会社や輸出業者が市場に参入する以前からラグの生産が行われていた長い歴史を持っています。セネのラグは、一本の緯糸で構成され、縦糸が交錯しているのが特徴です。セネのラグに使用される糸も最高級のもので、非常にきつく紡がれています。そのため、パイルは短くカットされ、織り手の素晴らしい技術によって、モチーフの一つひとつが明確かつ正確に表現されています。

 Senneh rugs, produced in Northwest Persia, are prized for their fine, delicate design and their distinctive, weaving technique. This highly sophisticated Senneh carpet features a fine medallion design incorporating the Herati pattern, with flowers, vines and Boteh (symbolizing long life and fertility) in the center. This carpet, hand woven around 1880 uses natural dyes in reds, white, blues and yellows and browns, but remains subtle, calm and harmonious. In addition to its beautiful design and harmonious colors, it is the weave that sets it apart. Senneh rugs always have a  precise, crisp, geometric drawing that corresponds to the precision of the weave.
 
Their wonderful use of color and design as well as the outstanding quality of wool and natural dyes make antique Senneh rugs some of the finest produced in Persia outside of royal manufactories. Senneh has a long history of carpet production before commercial companies and exporters entered the market. The carpets of Senneh are unique in their single-weft construction and use of interlaced warps. Even the yarns used in Senneh rugs are of the finest quality and are spun very tightly. The tightly knotted structure produces a very fine and durable surface with a pile that is cut short to highlight the amazing skill of the weaver, making each motif clear and precise.
