歴史的な都市ヤズドは、ケルマンとイスファハンという2つのラグの中心地の中間に位置する。ヤズドは砂色の古代建築やロマンチックな人里離れた砂漠、おいしいお菓子でも有名な美しい街です。ここでは400年以上前からラグが作られており、サファビー朝初期の王室工房のひとつでもあった。ヤズドのラグは、細かいデザインと多彩な色彩で有名です。手織りのラグは毛足が柔らかく、その品質と耐久性の高さから、愛好家や投資家に高く評価されている。

The historical city of Yazd lies halfway between two other great weaving centres of Kerman and Isfahan. Yazd is a beautiful city also famous for ancient sand-coloured architecture and a romantic secluded desert setting as well as delicious confectionaries. Carpets have been made here for over 400 years and it was one of the earliest royal workshops of the Safavid dynasty. Yazd carpets are famous for their detailed designs and range of colours. These hand-knotted carpets have soft woolen pile and are appreciated by connoisseurs and investors because of their high quality and durability.
